Southern California-based rider Irving Orozco has been sentenced to 90 days in jail for violations of two arrests for misdemeanors in the last two years.
The Daily Racing Form reports that Orozco, who has been arrested three times in the past two years, was arrested Feb. 7 by the Baldwin Park, Calif., police department.
In 2014, Orozco was arrested for driving under the influence. The jockey was fined $1,000 by Del Mar stewards last summer for failing to ride at Los Alamitos and Del Mar for three days in July.
Orozco is currently in the Los Angeles Men?s Central Jail. Records indicate that he could be released as early as March 15 after serving half of his sentence.
