Jimmy G story

Homeboy lived in the same Dorm I did a EIU so I am required to pull for my Midwestern, Chicagoan and Panthers brother Jimmy G.

Burl Ives (Frosty the Snowman) also lived in Douglas Hall as did Tony Romo.

Jimmy Garoppolo threw 53 touchdowns and won the 2013 Walter Payton Award in his final season as Eastern Illinois' quarterback. The house on 7th Street followed two years in the dorms, starting at Douglas Hall.

EIU has become a mini coach factory, turning out Mike Shanahan and Sean Payton. And Dino Babers was there for awhile.

Jimmy G and Mahomes almost had the exact opposite game. Jimmy was great for 3 Q, horrid at the end. Mahomes was bad for 3+ Q's, but was great late.

Exactly.

I saw this game a lot like you, Guesser, both before the game and after the game.

But High Times made a good point.

The Chiefs played poorly yet still won.

Hard to believe, Kansas City won by double-digits after trailing by double-digits in all three postseason games.

You think SF defense had anything to do with KC playing poorly? SF losing should be placed squarely on Shanahan. The clock management at the end of first half was a head scratcher. The play calling in the 4th q cost them the game.

Absolutely. Their great DL totally dominated the Chiefs OL. A QB with less pocket presence and less mobility would have been sacked in the double digits. Shanahan gave the Chiefs a chance to win the game. Mahomes took it after struggling for the 1st 3.5 Q's.
