Hall of fame pitcher Phil Niekro, famous for his signature knuckleball, has passed away at the age of 81 after a long battle with cancer. Niekro won 318 games, struck out over 3,300 batters, and has a career ERA of 3.35 over 24 years in the bigs.

Guy was an all-star in his age 45 season. Was in the top 5 of Cy Young voting when he was 43. Pretty incredible, but yeah no World Series, he stayed in Atlanta way too long when they were a sad sack franchise.
