Re: Krackman on Railbird, JJGold, and Posters who are Losers
Krackman is another phony. He was in Shrinks Pocket form jumpstreet. He was one of the guys they helped make a name for. It was the typical con. You have a few dozen names/ghosts you make up let the spout picks and plays and this or that, build them a rep then sell them to the masses as a legit gambler or authority.
These guys would say every book that sprung up overnight was a solid place to play and a great one to have money in and always had the best odds and pay offs, the usual pitch. More than likely these guys, Krackman isnt the only one, got cuts or maybe even had some investments in these things as time went on. Afterall all scams needed a little seed money.
Then as the tide shifted and Shrink became more and more obvious some of these guys 'flipped'. They started being 'watch dogs' and helping people out and telling them allt o get their money out early. All a ruse and the typical next step in the evolution of the con. But by then these guys would have a few ghosts with reputations so one ghost would spout the old company line, a different ghost would be a rah rah guy, and the 'main' name would be the guy who had flipped and was preaching caution. Shrink probably did that so these guys could go on with thier forum reputations once he was out of the business. When he sold the RX the plan was fully realized to anyone with a brain. Its why the Shrink was spit on after is death by most everyone who actually had a memory of the guy or wasnt at one time in his pocket.
Now that isnt to say some of these guys werent without ability. But it is the same ability as any other tout scum out there. They talk a good game, and unless you can somehow keep meticulous records on them you never know how well they REALLY do.
All conmen have some knowledge as well, and when they are seemingly on the 'losing' side of a deal it is always for the bigger score down the road.
