Players just not up to playing...they have to play it sometime. I think it would be cathartic to play.

0-2 vs clippers 0-1 bucks

lets play it next year

should play . Wasn't a member of the team. Could have had a little time before the game. Would have given them a push to play and win

I vehemently disagree, no way shoould it be postponed.
It's just another sign of how weak people are, there was a time not that long ago when tragedy and loss were met with stoicism and a determination to go on, now it's the opposite.

We're a nation of weak people.

The NFL played their full slate of games on the Sunday after JFK was assassinated on a Friday.

Maybe the NBA will cancel the rest of the season in honor of Kobe.

Cancel the entire franchise, make every player a free agent.

After all, Kobe died.

The fans wanted to go to the game too...… have a 2 hour thing to say good bye before the game. .. if they play it in april means little ……...load management will come into play.

Secondary market has to be upset....the tickets were skyrocketing.

Late season game now not anything worth putting a premium on.

The opening odds start here

If Cryrie can leave the game for 'personal reasons' then more power to the league.

Pete Rozelle said playing those games was his biggest regret as Commissioner, he said if had it to do over he would have cancelled the games that week

Chris Paul gets paid $42mm per. But he's too upset over Kobe to suit up tonight.

How much he gets paid has nothing to do with it, rich people grieve the same as everyone else, and what if you lost one of your best friends under similar circumstances, would you want to go to work the next day, or maybe a day off would be a good thing. Either way, don't tell someone else how to grieve.

its 60 hours later, not next day

Did they cancel the games after 911? I'm talking football.

I was sitting in the sports book at Caesars Palace on the afternoon of the 9/11 attacks.

Each college football conference made independent decisions on whether or not to play the following Saturday.

The World Trade Center attack took place on a Tuesday.

The Big East, understandably, was the first conference to cancel.

Other conferences then followed with their cancellation announcements.

Which conference was the last to cancel?

The Southeastern Conference.

Five or six games were left on the betting board at Caesars Palace deep into the afternoon.

The SEC loves their football and the football fanatics are oblivious to what takes place north of the Mason-Dixon line.

I recall taking Mom/Dad to John Wayne on Monday to fly to Frisco. I also recall that weekend Fullerton JC played a football game and I went with a group of friends. It was awesome to attend. What happened 5 days earlier truly sucked but the chance to take a few hours off from reality was wonderful. I live close to John Wayne and driving by and not seeing any planes taking off and landing was eerie.

from Kobe's point of view, he would have wanted to play.

this could have been too many players stating they weren't going to play.

chris paul didn't play tonight for personal reasons.
What's the appropriate grieving period for famous ex players that die?

No Harden and no Westbrook tonight for the Rockets.

Harden was out with a thigh injury and Westbrook was resting due to a back-to-back.

I drove to Vegas the weekend after 9/11, it was a ghost town.

Had the whole Strip to ourselves.
