CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa A Cedar Rapids man who pleaded guilty to illegal gambling and money laundering has been sentenced to nearly two years in federal prison.
David Kolsrud pleaded guilty to the charges last May. He was sentenced yesterday in U-S District Court in Cedar Rapids.
He was among seven men from eastern Iowa charged in a bookmaking operation that netted over a-half (m) million dollars in 1997. Prosecutors say Kolsrud was the ring leader.
