I'm partial to the Griffey's. Can you beat B2B homeruns by father/son in the same game?

I remember watching that game when Griffey Sr and Jr went back to back, to me the only thing that could top it is if LeBron plays long enough, and if his kid is good enough to make the NBA, watching the two of them on the same court together, that would be pretty amazing to see

That would have been my first thought........

But then I was reminded of Jack winning the Masters at 46 years of age....

I consider Griffey Jr/Peyton to be a wash. Griffey Sr > Archie. Not sure how to factor in Eli.

Barry and Bobby Bonds probably better than either choice, IMO. People forget what a great talent Bobby Bonds was. Would've even been better if he wasn't an alcoholic.

I think Archie may have been better than Griffey Sr.

Definitely an apples and oranges argument. I looked up records on both and still contend Archie is a bit on the overrated side. Granted, we can't compare passing numbers from the 1970s to today's numbers, due to rules changes. But Archie clearly had some issues. I know the Saints teams were bad, but doesn't some of that have to be owned by him? I believe a son of his turned a bad Colts team into a 13-3 team in his second season.

Archie Manning:
one season with 20 TD passes, 2 Pro Bowls
125/173 TD INT ratio
55% career passer
35-101-3 career W/L record as a starter (0-10 with Houston and Minnesota)
one stat that surprised me: he rushed for nearly 2200 yards and 18 TDs.

As for Griffey Sr, he was a pretty good player overshadowed by some monsters on the Big Red Machine.
3 All-Star games and was a starter on 2 World Series winners
.296 lifetime hitter with 152 home runs and 200 stolen bases
career WAR puts him at tied at 438th all time
