The opening odds start here
Toronto/NYY over 6 -115:
All good things must come to an end, and for the AL East lading first place Yankees (49-28), their 8 game winning streak came to a halt at the Stadium yesterday at the hands of the Houston Astros 9-4. Jose Altuve hit a leadoff HR, rookie Tyler White drove in 4 going deep as well and the Astros added 2 more long drives that went yard helping to end a 7 game losing streak. Justin Verlander improved to 10-3 overall allowing 3 runs on 4 hits walking 2 and striking out 9. JA Happ encountered a rough outing serving up 8 runs on 11 hits over 4 innings, watching his ERA balloon to 5.23 and falling to 7-4 overall. DJ Lemahieu slugged his 10th HR of the season going 3 for 4 and driving in 3 runs. It was the Yankees' 26th consecutive game with a HR, breaking a franchise record and moving within one of the all-time mark set by the 2002 Texas Rangers. NY begins a 3 game series against Toronto (29-49) who just took 2 of 3 in Boston thanks to a 6-1 win over the Red Sox yesterday at Fenway. Lourdes Gurriel Jr went 3 for 5 with a run scored, Eric Sogard crushed a solo HR and Danny Jansen brought 2 home with a single. Marcus Stroman improved to 5-9 finally receiving some run support yielding just a run on 5 hits in 6 innings walking one and fanning 6, lowering his ERA to just 3.04. Rick Porcello gave up 5 runs on 8 hits over 6 innings walking 4 and striking out 2 falling to 5-7 overall.

The Yankees send CC Sabathia (4-4 4.14) to the hill this evening as his farewell season continues. The 38 year old currently in his 19th and final season showed flashes of vintage brilliance his last time out ending a personal 3 game losing streak allowing a run on 3 hits over 6 innings walking 3 and striking out 7 in a 12-1 win over Tampa Bay. He faces a Blue Jays lineup batting just .225 scoring just 4.2 runs overall per contest slugging 102 HR good for 9th in the AL. Sogard (.305 8 22) is the lone player on the club hitting north of .300 despite not enough bats to qualify among the top hitters in the league. Sogard batted .375 last week with 4 multi-hit games. Rowdy Tellez (.225 14 35) is tied for the team lead in HR and leads the club in RBI going 5 for 12 (.417) over his last 4 games. Randall Grichuk (.221 14 31) is hitless over his last 10 at bats but is on pace to break his career highs in HR and RBI from last season. Gurriel Jr (.285 9 24) had 3 multi hit games last week and is 8 for his last 20 (.400). Justin Smoak (.225 12 34) has been struggling as of late mired in a 4 for 26 slump (.154) over the last 7 games.

The Jays counter with Anibal Sanchez (3-9 5.49) who has dropped 7 straight decisions and is winless since April 27th. The 26 year old righty has been battered over his last 3 starts surrendering 19 earned over his last 12 2/3 (13.46) walking 9 and striking out just 7. Sanchez faces a Yankees lineup batting .259 overall averaging 5.5 runs per contest and 126 HR both good for 4th in the AL thanks to their recent record-breaking streak. Lemahieu (.322 10 51) is hitting nearly .500 with RISP, leading the pinstripers in hitting and second in RBI batting safely in his last 9 (.395). Gleyber Torres (.283 18 45) is following up last year's rookie season with no sophomore jinx easily on pace to eclipse last season's success. Gary Sanchez (.273 23 52) has hit safely in 7 straight (.370) and seems even more determined to easily break his 2017 career highs in production. Luke Voit (.265 17 46) is batting .300 over his last 7 games and has already passed last season's career highs despite homerless since June 14th. Edwin Encarnarcion (.228 23 53) has already more than made his mark since the trade from Seattle in contributing a quest return back to the postseason.

We get a fair price this evening in the house that Ruth built where homers come plentiful especially over the short right field porch. Summer is in the air in the tri-state area and the Yankees have heated up thanks to their 4.5 game lead in the AL East. With temps in the 80's forecast with light winds, balls once again should be flying out as the Bronx Bombers look to extend their homer streak. It's a paltry like 314 to the corners and 408 straight away, and with one not knowing what you're going to get out of CC combined with Sanchez's batting practice like pitching line, offense should be a no-brainer tonight. We look to end a 3 game slide and hope to put one back on the left side this evening in the Bronx. Best of luck however you play!
