NBA after the All-Star Break insight from last night

We know that the NBA has some historical high totals on games this year. They just came off a nice long break yet the game totals were posted as if they were in current form. Well a situational bettor might look at this break as a time to make some money. Well here is how the rust fell last night.

Game totals 1-5 under (absolute rocking chair results covering by 32, 16.5, 12.5, 12.5 and 19.5)

1st half totals 0-5-1 under (GS/Sac pushed at 122)

2nd half totals 1-5 under (covering by 22, 5.5, 6.5, 6, and 5.5)

So an under bettor who went all in last-night saw a 2-15-1 under situation.

Now tonight there are 9 more games. Maybe an extra day of practice for these teams might shake some of the rust off but it could be just the opposite. This could be a 2h situation since if the game totals are inflated and a low scoring first half could have some more out of whack second-half totals.

Just a quick something to keep an eye on for tonight. Actually could be an angle for the first couple of games out of the break. Maybe the collective bargaining agreement limits practice time after the break to 2 day. Not sure.

Good insight, Sporty.

I think the same thinking holds true for the first day back after the MLB All-Star break.

Limited practice, timing off and defenders (or in baseball's case, pitchers) are fresh.

Managers have fresh bullpens.
