Nothing in the NBA's recently-published 113-page operation handbook during COVID-19 addressed tangible measures or specific numbers to stop the season in case of a serious outbreak.

Significant spread of COVID-19 in Orlando could halt NBA season, commissioner Silver says
Aren't the players and all the staff supposed to be in a bubble? Can't see how spread in Orlando matters, but if players are testing at a high rate that's a whole different issue.

They are in a bubble just like high risk nursing home residents were in a bubble. The staff can't remain in a bubble the entire time.

They should look at playing outdoors during the day.

Research has shown that the Covid-19 virus dies very quickly when it encounters direct sunlight.

If MLB only played day games this could be there edge to having a season without more stoppage.

That is an interesting idea you have for the NBA.

Great idea anywhere except FL, where it pours half the day every day during summer.

Make shooters have to account for wind and a very, very different shooting background. Would stop the over-dependence on the 3 and make teams actually work to get good looks again. Bring totals back into the 180's and 190's like back in the sport's glory days.

It's way too hot playing outdoors during the summer in Orlando.
