did you see the footage of him post game after Monday's game? he was purposely touching the reporters' mikes trying to make light of the corona virus situation.

No, I was just a xenophobe in my handicapping of which player it was, and was proven correct

Will we see JK in the stands at WNBA games?

I am betting the games are cancelled, too.

The WNBA season starts May 15.

The question is: If the powers-that-be cancel the WNBA season, will anyone notice?

Also said "wow" to myself, but "wow" just doesn't seem to cover it. (Uh, not about the WNBA, lol.)

Earlier today, the COVID-19 virus killed the longest running bull market in U.S. history, just 2 days short of its 11th anniversary. In what I believe is the fastest or one of the fastest declines from the prior ATH (although that day in October 1987 comes to mind).

That's of course nothing like the loss of human life, but something still to be noted in the toll from the virus.

Now the NBA season is at least suspended, and other sports no doubt will follow suit.

One hopes this issue is not still with us in the fall (or a week from now for that matter), but pandemics do tend to come in waves.

I of course will gladly take being alive and healthy, and the same wish for others as well. But it is not at all inconceivable that we might be doing something different in the fall other than, e.g., breaking down football games for football contests, which I have been doing for a long period of time, much longer than that now recently departed bull market.

Lebron had a very good chance on getting another ring. Will they play again this year?

They can wait it out for awhile and start the playoffs as is. The games are getting dull and most fans don't care much right now. With the crazy long playoffs and all the 2-4 day waits in the first few rounds they can easily start May 1 and be done by end of June. There are no close races for playoff spots and few teams seem to care about the seeding so why bother?

The NBA’s Rudy Gobert purposely touched reporters’ microphones just two days before he tested positive for the coronavirus, causing the league to suspend the season.

Statement from the Utah Jazz

Posted: Mar 11, 2020

This morning a player on the Utah Jazz tested negative for influenza, strep throat and an upper respiratory infection. The individual’s symptoms diminished over the course of today, however, in a precautionary measure, and in consultation and cooperation with NBA medical staff and Oklahoma health officials, the decision was made to test for COVID-19.
A preliminary positive result came back right before tip-off of the Utah Jazz-Oklahoma City game. Subsequently, the decision was correctly made by the NBA to postpone the game. When it was determined that the individual would be tested, we immediately informed the league office. The health and safety of our players, our organization, those throughout our league, and all those potentially impacted by this situation are paramount in our discussions.
We are working closely with the CDC, Oklahoma and Utah state officials and the NBA to determine how to best move forward as we gather more information. The individual is currently in the care of health officials in Oklahoma City. In coordination with the NBA and state officials, we will provide updates at the appropriate time.

The scariest day in the USA since 9/11. Life seems to have changed as we know it. Time to look out for each other while spending Time in The Great Indoors. March 11, 2020 beyond surreal.

What is march madness without fans though? What is any sporting event without fans specifically big sporting events?

Im just in shock this is what is transpiring.
