flights depend on where you live. At this point, probably orbitz or priceline or expedia or one of those places is probably your best bet but I'm not sure.

I booked mine through MLT www.worryfreevacations.com but they only fly certain places...

as far as clothes, wear whatever you want, I'm going bare ass...

US Airways has the best price for a flight leaving Pittsburgh and going to Las Vegas. Leaving Jan 19th and coming back Jan 22 on the red eye is going to set you back alittle over $400 but its a direct flight. The other option is America West.

As for your first time on a plane that is tough to tell you. I still get nervous on take off and nothing i've done can get me to over come that. I've tried sleeping on the plane no lucky either. I've taken enough gravol to knock a horse out cold for a week and it still didn't work.

As for clothes since your from the north east your going to think the weather is like early spring so bring a jacket for the night but aside from that dress like you would in spring.

You want to get an idea of what the prices are thru websites like expedia, obritz etc but when you are ready to book your flight book it directly thru the airline you'll save on flight 9 times out of 10.

You'll get an idea anyone of the price range for the trip however airlines love to fuck around with prices I had to go thru hoops to get the price and the flight I wanted to get to Vegas. Westjet wanted to send me to Winnipeg then Vegas....Fuck Winnipeg I want a direct flight.....Oh ok back to your question. It's different for me since im Canadian so I use my passport (while I know i don't have too but it usually avoids me getting hassled crossing the boarder) since I assume you don't have a passport then drivers lic and some other form of ID should do

Booked some $278 out of Atlanta ... but the 14 day rule is killer here in the States Santo....

Shawn , you will just need a driver liscense in Pittsburgh, You might want to check out Southwest.com.They have direct flights for $331.thurs/fri to mon/tues.You just missed if you had booked friday they would have been $200

Weather will probably be around 60 - 70 for high and 35 - 45 for low. It does rain evry now and then around this time of year ... but usually not more than a couple of hours if at all.

I'm bringing my wife as well.

Looking forward to meeting you ... and sharing some ideas about picks. Hopefully I can pull ahead of you and UWIN in the $500 contest.

I don't know how much better you're going to do than that on short notice Shawn. Didn't you once say you were going to get married if in Vegas if you made the trip?

Weather will be ok, light sweatshirt at the most. As stated earlier, just need photo ID like a drivers license. I ENJOY flying, takeoffs are a rush and once in the air you can't even tell that you're off the ground. Now get your ass to the Nugget so I can give away the bride.

That is what you get and that is quoted in canadain prices. Your only concern should be do I want to take a red eye or not.

Maybe throw in a couple of long sleeve shirts that you can roll the sleves up on if you get too warm.

You'll be liquored up and mostly inside, you'll be OK. If you're going to do some long walking on the strip then you'll get chilly. Downtown is 2-3 blocks and a door to a casino every 15 feet if you get cold.

Shawn ,if you book the Southwest fights remember to go on their website 24 hours prior to you leaving and print off your boarding passes.You can go directly to the security checkpoint if you are not checking your bags, plus you should get a A boarding pass that will let you get on first and pick your seats. Good luck I will be flying out of Pittsburgh too.

Shawn, it is very important to get your boarding pass asap because you dont want a C boarding pass.C passes will be the last one to get on th plane. Plus, C boarding pass passengers can get bumped. You can get an A boarding pass 24 hours before your flight. So make a note of it. i am originally from pittsburgh too and can't wait to meet some you. Also, think about renting a car if you are going to go to the strip. cab fares are expensive and will cost you $30 from the airport to hotel. You can rent a car for $18 a day.

About $22 cab ride from Airport to Nugget. Don't, Don't Don't rent a car from Alamo, bad experiences with them at the airport. They're Southwest's car rental partner.

$1.00 - $1.50 bus ride from downtown to the strip. Yes it's slow but you won't have to mess with parking and you can be dead drunk on the bus without worrying about driving in an unfamiliar place under the influence...

While i've never taken a bus to and from the strip. It is cheap however like it was mentioned the ride is very slow since it stops at every stop along the route so you are looking at about an hour ride.

To each his own but a car is a hassle. I rent a car when I go with my wife because the buses are "interesting".

BUT, renting a car wastes more time (and money) coming and going at the airport, you can ride a bus drunk, you don't have to tip valet parkers when you use a bus. Take the bus from downtown to LV Blvd and Flamingo and you're in the middle of the strip.

Also, shuttle from McCarren to downtown is about $8.00 instead of around $22.00 for a cab.

you might as well spend an extra $25 for the round trip cab ride to and fro the airport...it will save you a little time and you'll be so damn rip roarin to drink and gamble it will be worth the money to save 30 min to an hour.

cabs are the best way to go...again saves time...you are going to spend that extra $30 for a cab ride to the strip anyway...

Spend the extra 5 bucks and get a limo from the airport to the nugget since you can get a limo at the airport for 35 bucks.
