i like the NL better. I was first on line to protest the DH when ron blomberg got to the plate.

The traditionalists prevail in the Senior Circuit.

For variety's sake, I like to see the DH in one league and not the other.

And when interleague play rolls around, there are some interesting decisions facing some teams and managers.

Don't want to pay.
Correct, this will be used as a bargaining chip next year

I’ve never understood the purist argument on this. Makes no sense to me someone would rather see a pitcher bunt than a guy like Papi hit bombs. The strategy argument has become almost moot also as teams are trending towards not allowing a SP face a lineup a third time around

The last 10 years has really weakened the anti-DH argument.

Agree with H and FW, I used to think the other way(anti-DH) but the game is different now and there is should be the DH in both leagues.

I dont like the DH, I'm glad and surprised they resisted, good for the national league.

This report that they are going to "deaden" the ball is the big story of the year IMO, that'll change everything.

i'm with jk, i like the variety between the leagues

Now I'm beginning to question my opinion.

Just kidding, Teddy.

One other plus about the DH argument: It keeps sports fans engaged and it's now an age-old discussion.

Interesting note: In Little League and even high school baseball, the pitcher often bats third or fourth and plays shortstop when he isn't pitching.

When do pitchers lose their ability to hit?

When they quit practicing. When they're drafted as a pitcher, that's what they focus on. Most of the pitchers we see hitting look like they couldn't even hit at the HS level. Many of them look awkward standing at the plate. Many of them just stand straight up and flail away. But hitting is a lot about timing. Get that thru practice.
