Many women are forced to cheer for the hometown soccer team or else face a long night of abuse from their irrational spouses.

Eight percent of the world's population lives in Latin America yet 32% of the world's murders take place there.

Street drugs are a factor, of course, but so is alcohol.

Dangerous part of the world.

My favorite Omar Vizquel trick play:

Runner on third, less than two out, high pop to shallow center field.

Vizquel retreats to field the pop fly, but center fielder Kenny Lofton calls him off the play.

This is where Vizquel's genius comes into play.

Vizquel decoys the runner on third by acting if he caught the ball and fakes a throw home before the ball actually hits Lofton's mitt.

Clever, very clever.

I don't think the ploy worked but the attempt was brilliant in my book.

Mariners, Indians, Giants, Rangers, White Sox and Blue Jays.

Broke in with the M's in 1989 and rose to fame with the Cleveland Baseball Team from 1994-2004.

By all indications, Vizquel is POS human being. He's also a Hall of Famer. There are plenty of POS's in the Hall of Fame. That shouldn't prevent them from getting in.
