From the Oregonian,
The Pac-12 will need to explain to the rest of us what it saw. Or what it didn’t see. Because it appeared, down by three points in the fourth quarter, that OSU successfully converted a critical fourth down and 1 from inside the UW 5. It also looked like the Beavers got the inches it needed on third and 1. Both times, the on-field officials spotted Jermar Jefferson’s rush just short of the first-down marker.
Fans were puzzled. Players looked dismayed. The FS1 broadcast team thought it was a first down, too. But the Huskies celebrated and never relinquished the lead on Saturday night. Game over. Night over. And now the questions begin for our old, beleaguered friends at Pac-12 headquarters.
