OT: Band You Weren't Into Early In Life But Love Now.....

For me.....'The Band'

Levon Helm is the man.....I didn't realize what
a no talent Robbie Robertson was until I read Helm's
book. Robertson's mic would be turned off during
concerts his voice was so bad. Average guitar guy too.

I never liked The Who as a young guy but after seeing them in concert at Oakland Coliseum way back in 1989, I changed my mind. They were playing Eminence Front and I thought, 'I never even liked these guys, but this is great'.:+excited-

Good question Heim...

I'll go with The Trash Can Sinatras.

It's cool to see my kids getting into the Beatles too.

I was still a kid when their records were first coming out but I remember it always being a VERY big deal. All my older cousins would run out and and buy them and we'd listen to them over and over...

i've learned to appreciate alternative rock bands like nirvana more nowadays.i was 17 when they hit back in the early 90's and i hated stuff like nirvana, pearl jam, etc. because i was used to growing up in the 80's on rock and roll stuff like van halen,ac/dc,ozzy and then here comes these new bands in the early 90's who seem to put out the most depressing strange offbeat stuff.

Rolling Stones. I was always a classic rock fan, but would be sick of hearing the same 5 standard stones songs on the radio. Its once you delve into their albums such as Exile on Main Street and Sticky Fingers that you find gems that never get radio play such as Moonlight Mile, Shine a Light, Torn and Frayed, Let it Loose, etc...

If you haven't seen it yet, then you must watch "The Last Waltz".

PINK FLOYD....love that group more every year.....

Check out their album Meddle. At the very least seek out the tunes Fearless and San Tropez. They're awesome and most people have never heard them.
