OT-Do ppl in other regions enjoy "southern food"?

Just got back from a diner and enjoyed a great meat and 3 lunch.

Fried chicken (dark meat), fried okra, mac/cheese, and lima beans.

Do you guys in the Northeast and West eat at these places? These are the most popular lunch places in SC.

Country Fried Steak
Hamburger Steak
Fried Bologne Sandwiches
A chalkboard or something on the wall with 20 veggies.....I love it all!

Got a place here my Old Next door Neighbor owns...I live about a Mile from there now and eat there at least 4-5 times a Month.......

Chicken and Dumplings def a classic!

Guy I was with got the Hamburger Steak and gravy. He was even dipping his sliced tomatoes in the gravy.

There is nothing better than a good Bowl of Pinto Beans with some sweet Relish in it......a couple onions slices and a slice of Cornbread.....:+thumbs-2 :+thumbs-2




In the winter Time nothing better than a good ole pot of Navy beans with a Black Forrest Ham chopped up in there and some Cornbread....MMMMM MMMMM good........
