This is a game we understand who Alabama is among the elitists. They are struggling on all ends. OU to hold on this second half

Wait, the reported 3-ball by Alabama was ruled a 2?

Current score: Oklahoma 59 Alabama 58 with 3:44 left in the second half.

Final score: Oklahoma 66 Alabama 61.

A documented winner for CHO.

I enjoyed the ESPN broadcasting duo of Jason Benetti and Dan Dakich.

Alabama's 10-game winning streak is over.

Excellent coaching duel between Lon Kruger and Nate Oats.

Love recency ratings.

If that's a bias, so be it.

After all, the question is NOT how good is your team, but rather how good will your team play TODAY?

Same in horse racing.

How fast is your horse is an important discussion.

However, how fast will your horse run today is the ultimate question.

There is a curve to that JK. Pieces of what you said there are at the core of what handicapping I do and its been modestly successful for a long time for me. Recent performance will always over or underperform long term "ability" shall we call it, teams that have a power rating of 100 almost never play to 100 on a given day. But getting the right mix of how far that recency can get away from the long term baseline, say being a 105 team before they inevitably trend back is very lucrative, yet hard to get right.

I like changes, Bill.

If you can spot a change in a team's performance level -- a good change or a bad change -- then you can attack those season-to-date ratings.

Anything to invalidate performances of the past, provided it's a relevant angle.
