I believe so, yes, it would be change of possession as soon as it’s kicked.

Both teams are given "the opportunity" to possess the ball at least once in overtime UNLESS the team that receives the overtime kickoff scores a touchdown on its first possession.

Interesting note: There is NO halftime break after two 15-minute overtime sessions in the postseason.
