Possible middle opportunity ... ASU vs. LSU

ASU vs. LSU, scheduled to be played at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge. Press conference coming up at 4:30 p.m. CST to state whether or not the game will indeed be played in BR. Those in the know, already know the game will be played in Tempe, AZ.

I played ASU + 7 - 115. As soon as the game is moved to Tempe, I will play LSU for a huge middle opportunity.

Just wanted to let you know. Check with your sporstbook on venue changes and their ruling.

All I know is the line seems to be stable at 7 at pinnacle, Olympic, WSEX, and probably everywhere else but where you played it.

You are correct. 5Dimes only moved it based upon my wager. They don't move on air unlike some of the other books.

Supposedly, WBRZ TV in Baton Rouge just reported game to be moved to Tempe.

I have NOT been able to confirm this as of right now.

More to come.

Confirmed.

Now that this has passed, which books don't cancel on change of venue? I checked my usual 4 and they all did... I'm guessing 5Dimes is one but wasn't funded there. Useful for future reference..

If this is actually the case, I have to believe bets would be voided, otherwise I can't see pinnacle and just about everyone else out there not being aware of the same information given in this thread. Either that or they knew the game would probably be moved there and the line already had it taken into account. I just cant see pinnacle being that slow.

From 5Dimes web site ...

All team sporting events must be played on the dates scheduled unless otherwise specified. If an event is postponed and/or rescheduled, that event will automatically constitute "NO ACTION". Soccer events must be played within 2 days of the original date scheduled.

Only mentions the DATE, not the change of venue.

Believe it or not, sporstbooks can be slow in getting the information. For example, see last week's game when Ball State played Iowa. BSU ended up having 13 players suspended, which was known in advance by those in the know. The line shot up as a result.

Same thing happens right here. I am just trying to give the players an advantage, if you want to call it that.

5Dimes history:

9/05 2:08p 374 Lsu -7+00
9/05 2:08p 374 Lsu -7-10
9/05 11:57a 374 Lsu -7-05
9/05 8:20a 374 Lsu -7
9/04 6:29p 374 Lsu -7-15
9/04 6:29p 374 Lsu pk Open

So if they did know, it was factored in the opening line, not something they found over the last 24h

LSU did NOT open up at a PK at home.

At Olympic, LSU opened - 9.5 & 54.5.

At CRIS, LSU opened - 9.5

At Stardust, LSU opened - 9

Also, more information from 5Dimes web site ...

Regardless of team name changes or relocation, all teams have action in futures wagers.

That's a mistake in the reporting I think.. if you look it changed to -7-15 immediately when it was opened at 5Dimes. 5Dimes put up lines later than the rest, hence opening at 7 not 9/9.5

Finally, yours wasn't a futures wager...

I don't buy this hype about the movement, if you know it then don best knows it and the books know it.

No, I don't consider it a futures wager either. I was just stating this information to further back up my claim about a change of venue as this is the only information they have regarding a change of venue.

I have DBS premium. I am logged in. The game is still listed as being played at Baton Rouge.

The sportsbooks don't know the venue has changed. They rely on DBS.

DBS is great, but not always the fastest as one's local media.

It doesn't matter if you know that info and the books don't.. plenty of pro's know and the lines wouldve started major movement by now. The only movement I saw was pinnacle a whole 3 cents to +3 -112 probably based on this thread or the nearly identical thread at the rx. If the game is in fact being moved, it has already been taken into account (or pinnacle, oly, wsex, holly, nearly other book out there cancels all plays where the venue is changed.)

If it is like th NFL rules the bets will be canceled like they did with San Diego a couple of years ago.I beleive it is a vegas rule and most books have a disclaimer that defers to vegas rules if the book doesn't have one.

We'll see what happens. The opening line was posted thinking that game would be played in Baton Rouge.

Now it's being played at a neutral site, in Tempe, AZ.

I think you will see a drastic line change shortly.

CK

Rules vary from book to book. I would expect my wager to stand. That is why I posted this information very early, so that people could have an advantage, so to speak.

CRIS - LSU - 6
Grande - LSU - 6.5

ABC/JAZZ - LSU - 6

Hollywood - LSU - 6.5

WWTS - LSU - 6

All lighting up right now.

Yes, you must. When the NFL game got moved from San Diego to Arizona because of the fires in SD 2 yr ago, Caesars Palace honored all bets as is even after the line change because of their rules. Most others cancelled but you must check the rules. Caesars Palace now owned by Harrahs so I don't know if the rules changed but the lines are still different.

Wish I had been paying more attention for a bit longer and also known where it would not be cancelled. Oh well, live and learn.

I know your intent was good, but how many times do I have to remind people that everyone I know that has gone to Vegas to "MIDDLE" Football has gone BROKE...

And that's a FACT!!!

Not sure about vegas, but if you think football can't be successfully arbitraged (including middles or sides) you are just plain wrong.

This Is The 3rd Time I`ve Asked

This Is The 3rd Time I`ve Asked

this question @ 3 dif. sites. I had bets canceled @ 2 different books, bets were made on ASU when gm was still @ Baton Rouge. Canceled when change was announced "Las Vegas rules". Has anyone else had bets taken down??

Had 3 dimes +8 at BetCRIS. Had being key word. Did not even question the cancellation, as they put ppd on original, and started a new game. Knew I was sunk then. From game 373/374 to 423/424. When they do that, you are done.

Best Wishes...OF :+waving-5
