Yep, just saw the tweet of the CBS report about the siren press conference. Guy said the Hawaii website says "run for the mountains" (like everyone reads the website and ignores common sense). Astonishing how incompetent and self-serving these local goofball bureaucrats are.

Zero chance anyone would go outside - it was dark, and see the fire and smoke(the sky was lit up) and run into it, when the other direction there's no fire and they know the sea is there.

So lets run down all the mistakes that were deliberate acts, earlier in the day there was a fire just outside town and they weren't given the water to put it out completely and left before it was, then the fire apparently restarted when the winds came up and they not only didn;t turn the sirens on but there are many reports that they blocked the roads and created a giant traffic jam where many people died. They still had no water by the way.

Then after the fire they basically did nothing for close to 2 days and once again blocked all traffic so no one could come back in and help find victims, etc - instead the authorities bragged a about bringing in cadaver dogs and such which took 3-4-5 days.

Now they say they aren't even sorry and are talking about preventing rebuilding in the name of building back better and putting up memorials, etc - which is really a land grab for certain rich people.

On every front it's a disgrace.

The death toll is 1000. 2000 people are still missing. At the end of this it may be a bigger loss than 911. The government is trying to take over and shut everything down, but not in a good way. They want to implement martial law in Lahaina. My friend, who’s a Local there told me this last night. Everything that happened in this fire is crazy and makes no sense at all!
Here are some of the things that happened.
The water was shut off during the fires, even to the fire hydrants.
Maui has the most expensive and biggest alarm warning system in the world and they did not use it to warn people to leave when the fire started.
The emergency broadcast system was never [IMG alt="👎"]https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/images/emoji.php/v9/t1c/2/16/1f44e.png[/IMG] used and the internet and phone towers were down.
Oh, and as of yesterday it was proven to be arson.
The government is trying to hide all of this from us so many people are saying it’s a land grab! But, this disaster is going to be right up there with 911 deaths! We can’t look the other way on this! This is not just an attack on Maui, it’s an attack on America

Today i hear the town is about 60% searched and it should be finished by sunday - last I heard the death toll has only gone up to 115ish, where are the 1000 extra bodies?

When i read stuff like this I'm skeptical , i saw a video of people in the ocean and it was apparent the water was maybe waist or chest deep at most, why would people drown when there's no need to go into deep water?

I'm not saying no one did, but it shouldn't be that many, are there spots where there is zero shallow water?

On the evening news they interviewed some hawiian women about the sirens, they asked her if she agreed that if they set them off people might have run into the fire. She said cmon, we're not stupid, LOL.

Doesn't look like arson is a cause - the report of the fire I heard was from a downed power line from a broken power pole, which cracked due to the high winds from the (distant) hurricane. The power line sparked several blazes, and was supposedly put out - but it reignited (re earlier posts on this). [UPDATE: Now watching the Alex Jones report - it describes the likely causes being electrical-based better than I can]

That idiot who waited until it was too late to open up the reservoirs because of "sacred water" and "equity" should be fired.
