Prop 27 (California)

If Prop 27 should pass this November would that allow individuals to place bets with Circa or Westgate (online apps) & allow you to enter Nevada contests without a proxy (from California)??? This would cripple the proxy business if allowed?

I like the new anti-27 commercials here.

If mobile wagering is allowed, it will increase the
homeless population, not help. lol

Joe Average Citizen believes that stuff.

Agree, it will be just like the California lottery claiming money will go to the schools. My concern is all the complaints I have heard about books on this forum with bets being canceled, limits on what you can wager, & accounts closed because you win!

New York is bringing in a billion a month in volume. How much will Cali bring in?

The pie is big enough for everyone unfortunately the Indians want the whole pie.

The Indians let FD, DK, etc run their sports books in Michigan and get a cut. I don’t know why California doesn’t do that? I’m sure the Vegas books are funding the NO pretty hard.

lets say Circa is with a casino in California, they (cal casino, not nev) get the money from your action. The location services must be on, and you cant use a vpn.

California is not ready for mobile wagering. Many counties still
very conservative.

Prop 26 will probably pass, my closest shop will be Los Al, fuck
if I'm driving in traffic 40-50 minutes to make a sports bet.

The problem is majority of Californians are in So Cal and the Bay area and are mostly completely ignorant about sports betting. The Indians ads demonizing mobile betting will be very effective with those control freak libs who don't bet. I'd say Prop 27 goes down by at least 55% to 45%.

Folks have become fairly, if not, comfortable using online payment options. I do not see the scare tactic working. More people do not want to visit a casino just for a sports wager. Besides, for the most part, Indian casinos are in lower income areas. Think 27 wins do to familiar names like DK and FD

Mobile New York sportsbooks, meanwhile, are doing a brisk business. The nine operators brought in $872.2 million in August, or 59.5% higher than New Jersey.

I read in L.A. Times that Prop 27 has only 34% support while opposition support is 52%.

In other words, we're screwed and we'll have to keep driving four f*cken hours to the Nevada border if we want to place a legal bet...
the university polls are all compulisive lying liberal polls that are entirely inept

i'm one who's never accepted the narrative of the indians being complete victims, but at the same time, oh my fucking christ, that statement has a tiny bit of a blindspot.

Cali would be pocketing 100 million for licenses and more on renewal, plus 10% of profits
going to the state, which is still huge.

Indians flash some young adults betting on a IPad and the local neighborhood apps go
nuts believing it will ruin our young population.

Meanwhile, fentanyl deaths mounting, truancy at a all time high, but gambling a pariah.
