QB Slide Rule Needs To Be Reviewed

Did anyone notice on Josh Allen's 52 yard scamper for a score that he faked a slide on Steeler 40 thus freezing the defenders?

Moreover, how many penalties have you witnessed where they expect a defender to freeze mid-air once he lunges before the quarterback starts his slide. Penalty...

I get the intent but this slide is abused by the offense. Review.

I didn't see the play in question, but the league did amend the rule I believe last year, there was a play with Kenny Pickett where he faked a slide, but stayed on his feet and kept running, I'll try to find it and link

He faked a move to slide thereby intending to give himself up. If defender hits him, add 15 and maybe get 86'd from the game. That's what.

Okay, I just looked it up, I was right about Pickett, but it didn't happen in the NFL, it happened in college, the NCAA then changed the rule, if Allen did something similar then the leauge obviously has to do something
