he must have been extremely worried about his looks.

not sure when it started but if you look at his pictures he looks like he didnt age for about 35 years with his white beard.

then all the lines in his face disappeared for about the last 15 years of his life.

just kept pulling the skin back. must have tried to keep up with dolly who didn't seem to age as well.

kind of interesting that he takes his final breathe at a time when gambling around the world has been haulted.

anyone who becomes an expert in this game has a big big edge over the competition given the idea that the correct starting hands makes or breaks you.

I remember an entertainment director for a tribal casino was talking to a few of us some time ago about what makes a good act for a casino showroom. He said unfortunately Kenny Rogers can't do shows anymore, but in his casino show prime he used to bring in as many high rollers to the casino on his show nights as a good boxing card would. Said if only he had the longevity of Tom Jones and Englebert he could have named his price to do shows at places like the Wynn or Caesars Palace today.

To this day my favorite poker game is 5 card draw. We even played double draw. Shuffle the discards and draw again.
