The highly-opinionated Dan Dakich looked silly last night when he GUARANTEED -- said in an emphatic way by drawing out every syllable (GARE-EN-TEEEEEE) -- "Duke will come ready to play tonight."
Dakich trusted Coach K to have his team ready.
Lazy analysis.
Illinois led 14-2 early, never trailed in the game and maintained a double-digit lead the entire second half en route to a convincing 83-68 victory despite committing 18 turnovers.
Duke is young, lost a lot of production from last year's team and had no crowd at Cameron Indoor Stadium, circumstances Dakich ignored in his game preview.

They monitor perks and class attendance etc...very close during the season. I saw that the one year I played ball. Most of the luxury items and class concessions (drop out) happen before or after the season. Our pre-game meals were at Sizzler, post game, McDonald's. Div II is ghetto fabulous.
