After the 3rd quarter- I think the committee had their minds made up. Don’t think those last few drives changed anything. Plus, does anyone want to see SMU play again?

Think making a close game made all the difference in the world. SMU was 8 before the game AL 12. You can't penalize a team going to a championship gm,unless it gets blown out. Alabama was in after 3quarters,the last quarter comeback saved SMU's season.

Is alabama better than SMU ? Of course they are, but that's not the point, you have to earn a trip to the playoffs, SMU did, they played their way in while Ala played their way out.

I can see that if SMU had won the ACC title game, but they didn't.

They backed their way in by losing to a mediocre Clemson team that played 3 tough regular season games and lost them all. South Carolina just beat Clemson the week before and held them to 14 points. SC won their last 6 games, 4 against top 25 teams. If any team backed in, it should have been them. They lost to Bama by 2, and should have beaten LSU, except for a bullshit call late in the 4th quarter, that negated an Int return for a touchdown.

We're talking about smu, I dont care about clemson, other than they beat the ultra powerful SMU squad.

And Who is Not Favored Over Anybody on a Neutral Field ?

I Read That Seeding Method Could Be Revisited After This Year.


You Have First Round Match Up of Tenn./ Ohio St. Winner Facing Oregon 2nd Round.

Then You Have First Round Match Up of SMU/ Penn St. Winner Facing Boise St 2nd Round.


I Think Tenn. , Ohio St. , and Oregon , Would All Be Favored Over The SMU, Penn St. Boise St. Group on a Neutral.
