I remember sometime in the early 1990's betting UNDER 43 in the Pro Bowl.
And I won.
The 2013 Pro Bowl total closed more than twice that number at 89.

They get a roster bonus, its always about money.
At the old Stardust Race and Sports Book, there was a sports bettor named Rich who had a screw loose.
He would make small bets on the games and cry all night long about the players, coaches and especially the referees.
Rich was a conspiracy theorist and thought the "fix was in" on every game he bet.
Aside from his conspiracy theories, Rich repeatedly delivered one line that always made me chuckle: IT'S ALL ABOUT THE MONEY.
Rich was a crazy guy but I don't think he was far off with his favorite line about the sporting world.

Vegas was full of those types back in the day....I saw Dave Habba go nuts when a pitcher threw a ball to open up a MLB game...he went on a five minute tirade berating the starting pitcher....

All these individual awards and pro bowl announcements for a sport where the team and its units are everything are just so dumb. Put the greatest QB behind a horrible line and he won't be a Pro Bowler. Put the greatest corner on a team with no pass rush and he's not getting that call either. That's among the reasons why the Pro Bowl is such a farce.

I won a trip to the 2000 game
I stayed for 1Q then left. I figured why the "heck" did I want to waste my time there watching some meaningless game instead of enjoying the island! Back then companies would reward their top employees with a trip to the game - and Hawaii. The game would be sold out but tickets were very easy to come by since most were like me - didn't give a FFFFFFFFFF about the game but instead chose to tour the island.
I understand why it is played but ever since Robert Edwards had his career ruined no one really cares about it
