Thank you for contacting us in regards to your Debit card.

We are showing your Visa Debit card has been restricted due to Unlawful Internet Gambling.

Regulation GG (Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006) is when using the Internet to place, receive, or otherwise knowingly transmit a bet or wager that is unlawful under applicable federal or state law in the state where the bet or wager is initiated, received, or otherwise made.

When you have reviewed and understand the regulation policy, we may suggest contacting us via telephone, replying to this message, or visiting a TD Bank store to activate the card.

Please note: Once we have notified you of this regulation and if you do not abide by the terms and conditions, we will close the Debit card and will be unable to reissue a new one.

If you have any further questions, please contact us via email or call 1-888-751-9000 to speak with a Customer Service Representative, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Regards,

Wow...looks like they are giving you a 2nd chance.

I have heard of other people having their card(s) deactivated

and told they would not re-issue or reactivate it...due to the UIG law.

Tell them it was not a gambling site, say that you buy virtual points to play games where you can win prizes.

Re: TD Bank says my debit card is restricted

boys, i send them this reply: I haven't been gambling. I bought a few items online from other countries. They send me this shit:

Thank you for contacting us in regards to your check card issue.

As internet gambling imposes disproportionate legal and operating hazards for VISA and its members, VISA sets check card regulations controlling internet gambling activity and monitors and enforces controls over what they categorize as "unauthorized" transactions; therefore, you are unable to use your VISA check card for internet gambling charges.

Upon review, we show your card has been blocked because of such transactions. Please reply if you understand these regulations. We will reactivate you check card when we receive your message indicating you will not use your check card for these type of transactions.

Please note; although the transaction which your processed may have not of been for using your debit card for gambling purposes, the merchant you used to make your purchase is a known gambling website.

We apologize for any inconvenience.

Sounds like they just want you to reply that you understand the regulations controlling internet gambling activity and that you won't use your card for such transactions.

Re: TD Bank says my debit card is restricted

Just write back "I understand" and your account will be unfrozen.

I still can't believe they caught you this quick...

Scary shit, Hustle.

Time to score an account based in Kuwait where they aren't worried about your gambling habits. You might get put on an terror list or 2 for opening the account, but other than that, should be good.

Re: TD Bank says my debit card is restricted

Just respond that "I agree". I was a bad boy, and I won't do it again. Please re-activate my card. Then find an alternate choice of sending money, unless you want your account frozen. Western Union is a good option I would guess.
