I work for power generating plant in Savannah, Ga. A couple of days ago we discovered there are 3 manatees hanging around the area where the water we use in the plant to cool our machines dumps back into the Savannah river. Somehow the DNR caught wind of the situation and they were swarming around the plant today. They want us to shut down the entire plant so the warm water will quit discharging back into the river and the manatees will leave. I find this is hard to believe, they expect us to SHUT DOWN THE ENTIRE PLANT!!!!!! Has anyone ever heard of the DNR doing anything like this before.
