About Fair Grounds
There are several horse racing venues that can lay claim to being the oldest in the United States. Fair Grounds Race Course in New Orleans is one of those venues. Back in 1852, the Union Race Course was built on this site; if you trace its origin to that moment, then Fair Grounds is the oldest active thoroughbred racetrack

Turfway Park

Race: #2
Pick: #7 Peekacho

PEEKACHO drops down to the starter allowance ranks after winning the Prairie Bayou Stakes last time out over this track. He will pick up another win in this spot with that type of effort.

NO PAROLE comes to Delta Downs tonight after two runaway victories to kick off his career. This should be a walk over for him on his way to bigger and better things.

NADAL was extremely impressive on debut, with this being the logical next step for him. This is a budding superstar horse on his way to the Kentucky Derby.

Sam Houston Race Track
Race: #6
3:45 p.m.

Pick: #6 Countenance

COUNTENANCE rolled last time out in an off the turf event; however, turf still seems to be her best surface. Look for her to make it two in a row today.

{With seven minutes until post the odds are 1 to 5. Not good. As the horse approach the post the odds are a little better at 4 to 5}
Won at 2 to 5 yuk!

Power Play of the Day

Race #13
7:12 p.m.

Pick: #5 Liam's Lucky Charm

Liam’s Lucky Charm looks like your winner in this one! He’s a very interesting alternate when it comes to beating your morning line chalk Anneau d’Or. Not taking anything away from ADO; I’ll talk about him in just a moment. Liam’s Lucky Charm caught my eye because of the jock angle. Two of the three times that Edgar Zayas was up this horse won by multiple lengths! He’s looking to do it again! He rode out last time out and won by over 5, and this horse is good at riding out… or semi-riding-out, so watch for him to do so.

Paid 11.40 6.20 4.40
This makes up for my loses, as of late!

(Hope you didn't fade me before this race)

Race #4
Pick: #6 SEANOW

SEANOW - Dropping in class rating points from his January 25th race at Aqueduct. Based on that valuable data, I will give this one the edge. This campaigner coming off a good performance in the last month or so is a contender in my humble opinion. Trainer, Arriaga, has been deliberate with this colt off the layoff. Look for a solid effort today. Finished fifth at Aqueduct last out. Was close at the end and at odds of 8/1. In today's race, he looks like a possible winner.
