Vegas this Weekend

Almost Allright

GO Bucks!!!
F Covid. I’ll be there betting the Breeders Cup, College FB and soccer with both fists, drinking beers and mingling with the ladies. Gotta keep living life.

Not at Cosmopolitan

Cosmo has gotten real tough on masks now and doesn't even allow smoking except at a table or slot. Most places won't let you in the door without one on.

Not sure if the crowd will die down some, but people were saying at 7am on Sunday the seats were all gone, including on the machines at Circa. So may not be a place you stay for the day. News articles were interviewing guys that drove in from LA just to sit in Circa for the day!

One buddy had a job transition so he had to drop out. Buffets, strip clubs, and some restaurants were closed as of last week.

Circa Sports book is amazing at first glance. Technology overload of the senses. Functionality wise the ticket writers were extremely interactive and didn’t act as if they were working the worst job in America or had just read a Bigrunner post. Very courteous. Biggest flaw I observed is the seating. Think being in the first row of a movie theater. I didn’t sit anywhere that your head wasn’t titled up. Even in the far back rows.

The casino it’s self is pretty swank but not overkill. They did a good job remembering decor wise they’re downtown. Big plus is the music system. Biggest negative was the music system. Depends on what was playing. If it’s a genre you like, you’ll be toe tapping. If it’s a genre you hate you’ll wanna run to the exits. The Mega Bar is a great hang. Bartenders were numerous and on it. I was fortunate enough to hit a progressive royal flush that required a hand pay. Negative there was it took twenty minutes to get the cheddar. Kinks of a new place I reckon.

Vegas on a whole is doing what they can. Downtown was busy. Everyone is doing the mask thing best they can. When you wanna drink or for those that smoke you pull down the mask. When you’re not pull it up. The issue is sometimes you get to bullshitting, or into your VP. Or decide I’m gonna take another sip and you don’t instantaneously pull up your mask. Most places were not on your ass in six seconds. But some were. To the point of overload. Other than that for me it was business as usual in what I want out of my Vegas experience
