In fairness, Saban addressed this early this year, he said no one wants to play them, that he would love to play solid,major conference teams in non conference but good teams dont want to have early season losses.

I would like to see the SEC go to 9 conference games. You have 6 division games, 1 Other div game you play every year.
you rotate the other 6 in 1 other game. No ala, aub, LSU from west playing georgia, florida, tenn (if they get it turned around). Auburn-Tenn used to be a great rivalry,
Instead you get LSU vs grambling, ala vs citadel, aub vs ut-martin, Georgia vs vmi, florida vs fla a&m and games like that.
I know 1-aa struggles to make their budgets, but, these games are a joke except very rarely when troy, app st or georgia st shocks the football world.

It's unavoidable that these power conferences need to schedule at least one cupcake every year because of what southern coach mentioned. Then again if you are heads above the conference 'competition' it's games you need per overall record to qualify for a prestigious postseason.
