What was your introduction to gambling?

Walking to school in 5th grade or thereabout and tossing coins. Then penny poker, then into football cards freshman yr HS. And on it goes.

Poker early 70s. Then. I met a guy who knew a bookie. He put me $50. on a football game. Bet won. I was hooked. I thought this is gonna be so easy. I think my bring home pay was about $150. A week. Pretty soon my job did not mean shit when you have $1000.-$1200 a week in play. I may be, even, maybe a little ahead last 20 years. I will never get back what I lost first 30 years I gambled. I was totally out of control. I am an old man now. I did a lot of things I am not proud of when I was young.
