What's for dinner tonight?

It's fajitas in my house tonight. I picked up a pack of already marinated fajitas w/ veggies for only $3.50 at Vons. It looks like enough to make at least 6 fajitas.

Time to break out the wok.

Spent 80bucks at 'BJ's" place is so over rated...I had a taste less cheese burger, wife and daughter split a peperoni pizza and my son had a turkey sandwich....Thats why I don't mind losing 80bucks on a bet.

Hard to go in a restaurant without dropping $15+ per person. I don't really mind it if the portions are nice and the food is good but it is a rarity for me.

I had Lake Superior Whiting a few weeks ago at the Blue Coyote in Palm Desert, first time, it was really good. I now need to buy some at the local store and give it a try, as well.

Re: Whats for dinner tonight?

Naw, I cooked it myself.

Ever since I stopped working, I have really been honing my cooking skills.

My grandfather was the head chef for a long time at an old restaurant in SF called Ernie's, which was from the 40s-70s for serving many famous athletes and movie stars. When he passed away we found a box with many of the original recipes from there, so I have been trying to re-create some of them lately with my infinite spare time.

This wasn't one of them, but it was damn good nonetheless. The local high end grocery store had American Kobe London Broil on sale for like $8 a lb so I bought a ton. The stuff makes for great taco meat as well.

:cheers
