I'll call him on Christmas Day.
My T-Mobile package charges me 25 cents a minute for international calls from Costa Rica.
Last month's cell bill was four times the normal price.
I have an app (WhatsApp) that provides free calls but I don't believe Bobby has that feature on his phone.
It's 100/1 against on Bobby successfully downloading the app.

John, use Skype if you have it. If Bobby does too Skype to Skype calls are free. If he doesn’t Skype calls from Costa Rica to the US are 2 cents a minute. Just put $10 in your account to start. Happy Holidays!

FWIW, I saw him briefly on Wednesday of last week. He said he was going to be in the VA hospital all day Friday, but didn't mention for what -- he didn't have much time to talk as he was meeting someone soon -- so I really didn't have time to ask for details.
He didn't mention anything about sports betting which is unusual for him. Again, he didn't have the time for me to ask if he had any opinions on any games.
That's all I know.

I spoke with him for a little longer earlier today. We had some miscommunication, and it turns out he spent the day at the VA hospital getting his presciptions filled. So that's good news.
After I asked, he also mentioned that he went 7-2 with his bets last Saturday. I didn't have time to ask about this Saturday's games and he didn't volunteer any games he liked, so no recommendations from him for this Saturday.

John Kelly knows his exact age. I think he's in his mid 80's. I think he makes straight bets, not two-teamers.
Bobby made a joke one night on the radio show that he bet a two-teamer every night.
The first leg was whether he would make it into bed and the 2nd was whether he would wake up the next morning. The joke was that he'd cashed that two-teamer every day!
