Is ERIII Erin Rynning?
Maybe, haven't followed closely but at one time you couldn't play DFS on DK in Nevada. I would think DFS qualifier is from fantasy sports, but just guessing.

I remember at one time I was playing some DFS golf lineups and couldn't even login within Nevada borders.

Maybe proxy arrangement with someone if it is ER.

Be interesting to see what final bankroll will be with 5K start?

funny coincidence. I was coming to EOG for my first visit today and I was thinking to myself to start a thread about the event to see if anyone was aware of it.

I did qualify last week although I could have waited. The contests are becoming easier and easier now (I saw significant overlay this weekend) as the pool of people is shrinking (you can only qualify once).

Apparently my reps are not aware I got in last week because today I got this e-mail:

"
would love to get you out to NJ this weekend for the SBNC. The event will take place in Jersey City from January 11th-13th with a $1M+ (you also keep your winnings) top prize.

The entry is $10,000 with $5,000 going to the pot and $5,000 being your budget to bet with. The goal is to make as much money as possible before the end of the weekend on DraftKings Sportsbook. There will be a leaderboard to track bets all weekend to see where you stack up with other competitors. After Sunday’s Divisional games end, then we will crown a winner! With this new tournament structure, I am here to answer any questions you may have but will attach an FAQ below as well.

If you sign up by Wednesday, I will also credit you with $500 for travel and 3-nights in our hotel room block included in your complete tournament package (the below is standard FAQ room typically is not included). Please just let me know if you have more questions than the FAQ below or would like to move forward with entering!

I'm guessing people will be placing crazy parlays to try and win it. Betting normally is not going to win you the event.

Just received the FAQ

What can I bet on?

On Friday and Saturday bets on all sports are allowed. Those events must be scheduled to begin before 1am Sunday and be graded by 3pm EST Sunday to be eligible for scoring. On Sunday bets are only allowed on markets for the two NFL divisional round football games. The results of any wagers placed on or including sporting events on Sunday other than those 2 games will not count towards your score or minimum wagering requirements.

How does the minimum bet rule work?

To be eligible for leaderboard prizes you must place a minimum of $1,000 in bets on the outcome of any sporting event in the DK sportsbook that is live between noon Friday and the 1am on Sunday. On Sunday, you must place a minimum of $2,000 in wagers on markets for the two NFL divisional round football games. Parlays which include bets on the Sunday NFL games will count towards your Sunday minimum.

How will the leaderboard work?

Starting on Saturday with the kickoff of the first NFL divisional round game the live leaderboard will be published including the current score for each player as well as their live, upcoming, and graded bets.

The $50,000 leaderboard prize for the highest score going into Sunday will be calculated based on the leaderboard scores at 9am EST on Sunday. Unsettled/live wagers will not count towards leaderboard scores for this purpose.

What hours are betting open?

You will be allowed to place bets during the following hours, outside of these hours you will be allowed to view your current bets, see lines, and cash out live bets:

Friday – Noon to 1am

Saturday – 8am to 1am

Sunday – 8am to 4:25pm (or the schedule kickoff of the 2nd NFL divisional round game)

Do I have to be in NJ the whole time?

No, while you must be in NJ to bet and must check in with DraftKings once during scheduled hours at the player hotel or event location prior to 1pm on Sunday, other than that you are free to spend the rest of your time as you please.

Can I use the cash-out feature?

Yes, you may cash out a bet at any time during which betting hours are open an cash out is available for a bet.

If I buy myself in do I have to stay in NJ or use a DraftKings hotel?

No, DraftKings is providing room blocks in various locations for players to book but you make stay wherever you please during the event. Your entry gets you access to any SBNC

What are the betting limits?

Betting limits for all competitors will be same at all points in time although maximum bets may change as the start time of an event approaches. Any submitted requests for a bet in excess of the maximum bet will be denied.

What if I want to bet on something outside of the tournament?

Your regular DK Sportsbook account will be available to you at all times, even when betting is closed in the SBNC. Simply log in and bet as you normally would.

What happens to my money once the event is over?

At the completion of the SBNC, once scores have been tabulated and confirmed, leaderboard prizes will be placed in your account. Once that is complete all funds in your SBNC tournament account will be transferred to your main DK account and will be free for withdrawal.

You can't play DFS in Nevada but anyone can buy into the event directly (or if they wanted to qualify from DFS, they could drive across the border to a legal state to play).

DK had a lot of free qualifiers as they tried to fill this.

I qualified from a $500 buyin contest https://www.draftkings.com/contest/gamecenter/67421024

here were the free DK contests they ran (they were not publicly available in DK lobby but the sites in question promoted them):

Yes. All sports.

As for what I was saying about parlays, I’m not going to know until they allow play to begin. The actual DK book has all kinds of odd limits, some based on risk amount and some based on total won so I’m curious to see how much I’d be able to bet on a parlay that pays 10/1 for example.

Bankroll is 5,000 and buyin is 5,000 so there will be overlay. I’m guessing less than 250 entrants.

I think guy is low on estimate of 20-25k, with a full field I would think closer to 100k. With props available, will be a lot of shots fired on 1st player to score TD in both games on Sunday. Give me a parlay of Hunter Henry & Ted Ginn Jr that pays 500-1.
The guy that was interviewed was answering without knowing what the limits will be. I’m really curious to see what we’d be allowed to bet on a 50/1 player prop for example.

Another thing that has not been announced is the exact payout structure. Apparently they’re waiting for a final number on entries before they decide that. I don’t know how many places are getting paid.

Good luck Yis? What's the biggest prize you ever won?
On DFS? Probably $10,000

I've been in a few events with huge prizes but I fell short.

2017 was this huge MLB bracket contest where I needed to beat like 63 guys for 100,000 or whatever. Second round of the bracket Chris Taylor got hurt stepping on first base in the first inning and I barely lost. Still stings.

Then 2018 was a big football contest. Had 3 potential lineups and picked the worst one. https://www.fantasydraft.com/ticket/8312204

hoping to find out the # of entries and the limits by Thursday night and then we can try to guess what the winning total will be.

I'm guessing most of the people will end up going bust because it doesn't make sense to play it conservative, obviously.

Are they going to publish a list of every bet made from start FRIDAY?

I thought I read that, even though a leaderboard wouldn't be published/shown until start of first NFL game on SAT.

Why wouldn't they show leaderboard from start of contest, wouldn't you like to know position after 1st day on SAT morning?

I might be going. Wish I had a better feel for the final number of entrants. Have to think folks in New York and New Jersey will not let this big an overlay happen.

https://sportsbook.draftkings.com/help/general-betting-rules/sport-specific-limits

The limit $500,000 will apply for all competition/game-related offers that belong to any of the following categories: (i) NBA, NCAA D1, Euroleague, Olympic, World and Continental Tournaments for Men governed by FIBA.

The limit $500,000 will apply for all competition/game-related offers that belong to the NFL

Not sure if same limits apply to contest, would think so?

Foolish to not think gambling teams will be attacking this, collusion would be very tough to prove. Don't have to be on premise, just in NJ to partake. Betting logs will be interesting to examine.
