NICE..I caught a few of them fading. Hawaii (fading Fresno St) was the "easy" one in my book. Literally EVERY service in the country had Hawaii as a play last week at home vs Nevada. MANY GOY's were released on them, as well as many top "*" selections. The line moved from -10 to -14. OF COURSE Hawaii would be up 20 in the 4th only to send all these guys DOWN IN FLAMES in the end (winning by 7).

After they bombed out so badly on Hawaii, I did not see a SINGLE ONE on them this week! I was ALL OVER IT!!

They scored 62 pts in THREE QUARTERS!!...PRICELESS!!!
As soon as the KOD's get off a team, is when you jump aboard!

I did not fade them all but the ones I did, I went 4-2. However; the Iowa play was a much bigger bet, so i only made very small profit. Really sucked, because Iowa was in that game the whole time (it was 3-3 at half) before a late TD by michigan to cover..Oh well, thats how it goes some days.

sorry it has taken me so long to get these to you. I have been absolutely swamped with work and I am studying for another test. Obviously I am not a professional handicapper, but I can't believe some of the lines on these games. Maybe they know something I don't......which is their job. I did a ton of research on last weekend's games and still only pulled out at 50%. I did absolutely no research this week and am making strictly gut calls.

An interesting note - Ohio State has easily covered in every game this year and they are the favorites this weekend (-27) against Minnesota at home. They have covered much larger spreads against much better teams but the law of averages haunts me on this one. For all I know, it could be senior week or homecoming and after getting up by 21 points, they put in all the scrubs that never see any playing time. Interesting picks. Some of these plays are not real total "square" plays.
I actually liked Northwestern myself, and don't think that is square at all.


A few solid fade plays I think would be South Carolina (LOVE taking the old ball coach vs top 10 teams!!!), and Baylor (A&M is a joke of a top 25 team, IMO, and Baylor is on the up swing with Guy Morris taking over there). Call me nuts, but I also like Minnesota A LOT. Waiting for that to go above 28, and I will pounce!

5-5 this week, although in fairness to my friend, he went 4-1 on his "top plays."

i have no idea why a true square would ever post NW + 30 or Buffalo +35. i think he just throws the occasional large dog in his plays to not have a card of straight favorites.

I realize his record for "top plays" for the last two weeks. He wouldn't let it go unnoticed, trust me. But I started this thread a month or so ago with the intention of tracking a square through the course of a season, and that's what I'm going to do. He's still picking under 44% for the season, so someone fading all his plays for the same amount would be + $$. Hopefully, he'll finish this last 3 weeks with a whimper and his plays won't hit at a % greater than my own. Because if "my buddy, the square" picks more winners than "pvcpipe's season tracker," i'll be eating a shitburger, for sure. BOL.

I think TN will find an answer to McFadden, and there is no way in hell that Georgia Tech doesn't win by two touchdowns. I was tempted to place the SouthCarolina vs Florida game on here (in favor of South Carolina), but A) its an SEC game B) Spurrier is going up against his rival, and C) its being played at the swamp......when you add it all together, you get nothing but a fucking ulcer. No way I can touch that one. I would have definitely picked Auburn to cover, but I don't ever bet on them b/c we both know that you never bet on/against your own team. There you go, thats it. Let me know if you can't cover the total.

Looks like I'm against all of his top plays, not playing two of his secondary, and am on one of his secondary picks. Maybe I'll re-think Tennessee. he provided some solid fades this weekend. the public was all over GT -13, and when his email listed GT also, I knew North Carolina was a lock. I was right there with him on TN +5, and felt like a sucker when the hogs dominated. two strong weeks left of regular season football, hopefully we can get closer to 60% losers.

I got you beat hands down, PVC. One of my best friends from college calls me every Sunday morning with his NFL play of the day. We have been doing this for the second year in a row. Last year, we didn't document it, but I am guessing he was around 60% on the season last year.

This season I am tracking the guy on an Excel spread sheet. The poor guy is 1-9 after the 10th week of NFL. I don't how he does it. He won week one but has since rattled off 9 losers in a row! It's like he's magnetically attracted to the losing side of the equation.

I think my friend staying just under the mendoza line has been helpful. He doesn't bet all these plays he sends, only a few, so he just asks me how he did after the games have been played. I always tell him he just won or just lost, so he thinks he's doing a decent job and doesn't drastically change the way he's picking.

His losing % and my winning % are almost identical. Which means I could stop handicapping games and fade all of his plays for the same amount and be just about where I am now. Warrants mentioning. I may ask him to start looking at NFL games this week and start a similar thread in that room.

I don't think there is a team in America with as drastic a difference in play as Minnesota when it comes to home field advantage. They are crap on the road, but I stay away from betting against them in the dome.
