Some stat I heard (forgot what it was) ranked those two as the best 1-2 batters in the history of baseball

The slugging percentage is incredible for a one/two.

I was trying to think who was behind Henderson in Oakland but I doubt it matched these two.

So Cleveland picks up Giolito and Lopez. Hard to figure that organization out. They dump Rosario and Josh Bell, but take back Syndegaard as a reclamation project, only to curb kick him after 5 starts. I guess its a way to stick it to the White Sox.

The Cubs calling up Shane Greene. former Tiger closer. So now they have Greene and Fulmer. Can Al Alburquerque be far behind?

Cleveland also picked up Moore, decent set up guy from the left side.

Renfroe with the Reds is a upgrade over Fairchild.

What odds? I’m looking for a strategy on my Steele 200/1 to win $4000. I can’t believe Snell is the favorite.

+700 the first time..... +450 the 2nd time....+350 at FD was the 3rd time in.......Snell ERA is under 3....I still think it's Strider's award to lose......there are some analytics where he is in rare air

What is the deal with Giolito and Lopez? Start out together in the Washington organization; both get traded to the White Sox in the Adam Eaton trade. Then both traded to the Angels at the deadline. Now, both claimed off waivers by Cleveland.

Best of luck to Fair Warning with his Steele CY bet. You have a shot. Strider obviously can still win it with a good September but after 4 ER in 6 innings, his ERA is at 3.56. And while alternative ERAs (SIERA, XFIP) are valuable handicapping tools, awards should be based strictly on results; not theoreticals.

Still think it's Striders award unless he gives it away...watched the fame at Beau Rivage....only about 7 sportsbook style seats...it was mainly a sportsbar/sportsbook kind of thing...no hurry to go back to Biloxi

I don't get into the weeds with all the advanced metrics, but Blake Snell and Justin Steele both have an ERA a full run lower than Strider, that has to mean something, I don't know who should or will win it, but I have a hard time giving the award to a guy with an ERA of 3.56

Striders ERA has to come down...3.2 or 3.3 .if they vote with "baseball card stats"....20 wins and 3.3 should get it done

Snells strand rate is the highest since Candelaria in 1977...can that continue....he faces some bad teams down the road so who knows

One added layer...many felt he was robbed of rookie of the year last year...in a close race does that end up working out in his favor....will be interesting

If he pitches well and gets his ERA into the low 3's it certainly helps his cause, but honestly I put almost zero stock in wins, he should win 20 with that lineup backing him. Since I have no horse in the race I'll pull for either Strider or Steele, so either you or FW cash

Part of it is guessing what matters to the voters...Im guessing there are some voters that like seeing that number 20....FWs bet is a nice one

In the last 16 reds losses, they have scored 3 or less 14 times.
Their second half play isn't surprising at all, if anything it was expected, you have a team full of rookies and second, third year guys who have never been in a playoff race, this is all new to them, they're already out of the division and will likely fall out of the wild card race as well, but that's okay, the experience of being in the playoff hunt, and playing meaningful games in August and September is invaluable, as a fan I'm already looking forward to next year

On August 15th, Texas was 72-48, 24 games over .500. Since then, they've gone 3-12 and are in danger of not even securing a wild card.

The A’s caught KC for the worst record. There is no doubt that the White Sox are the worst team, and should be treated as such, betting wise.

White Sox and Angels just 2 completely dead teams now. At least the A’s, Royals and Pirates are trying.

David Fry of Cleveland pitched the final FOUR innings last night. Fry is a position player. I don't recall any position player (except Ohtani) ever pitching that long.

Ohtani's agent with a smart move yesterday. He held a press conference at the stadium stating Ohtani will have arm
surgery but not miss any time as a hitter. Naturally, he's worth more as a dual threat. The only bright side to his injury is
a different ligament that was operated on a few years ago.

I didn't think I'd say this but the only team that has the money to disregard the risk/reward is the Dodgers. Halos are putting players
on the restricted list to go under the luxury tax. Good indication they're not going to match anything Ohtani receives.
