It was 28 years ago today, the John F. Kennedy High Senior Prom.....ahh yes, the memories....OF ME AND MY BEST FRIEND HUDDLED AROUND A CAR RADIO LISTENING TO LEN BARKER PITCH A PERFECT GAME WHILE OUR DATES SAT INSIDE, PISSED LIKE YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE!:LMAO

A classic "where were you when..." moment. We caught wind of Barker's perfect game at the end of the sixth inning. Well, the memories of a perfect game last a lifetime, but we were both pretty sure that our dates wouldn't last beyond 12th grade. Therefore, me and my buddy started making excuses on why we had to step outside, go to the rest room, this that and everything else. Well finally Barker is taking his perfect game into the ninth inning and we were done playing around. Told our dates what was up, and that they were more than welcome to join us (they chose not to) but we weren't going to miss the ninth inning.

Prom-wise, wasn't "The Best Of Times" as our prom theme suggested (the big Styx song out at the time)....and boy did we get the cold shoulder the following day at Cedar Point

Funny thing is, my date from that night married a sports junkie. We ran into each other at a wedding about five years ago, she introduced me to her husband, and I've been dragging him to sporting events ever since. Chris keeps telling me that I ruined her prom, and now I'm out to ruin her marriage:LMAO
