eog poker setup question

I have downloaded and at the point where it says setup account for free. Iam entering Johnny Handsome and I keep getting an invalid username message. Does that mean that name is taken or what may be be the problem. I have also tried adding #'s beside Johnny Handsome and am getting the same message. Need help.
