Re: EOG's investment advice thread.

I'm long on pharmecuticals and health care.

Greetings Jimmy Hoffa:

Here is an emerging biopharmaceutical stock you might want to look at:

NAME OF COMPANY:
Mannkind Corporation

COMPANY WEB SITE LINK:
http://www.mannkindcorp.com/

TICKER SYMBOL:
MNKD

EXCHANGE
Nasdaq

On the date of Friday, May 21st, this stock closed out a price of $4.95 per share, which is very close to its 52-week low of $4.82 per share, which was reached on the very same date as the above, before the late market rally on Friday.

Its 52-week high was set on the date of September 22, 2009, at a price of $12.30 per share.

Although some forecasters are predicting a continued downward trend for this stock, the Munchkin Man is thinking about taking a small position in this stock when the market opens tomorrow (Monday) morning.

The company is currently trying to seek FDA approval for Afrezza, a new drug treatment for diabetes.

Given the rising epidemic of diabetes, this stock could soar if this drug is eventually approved.

Of course, investing in this stock is pure speculation, if and until is is approved.

This is why the Munchkin Man is thinking about staking an initial position in this stock tomorrow morning.

The Munchkin Man thinks the potential is there and that this one is worth a gamble.

As always, the Munchkin Man advises any and all prospective investors to conduct their due diligence, and reach their own conclusions, before investing in this or any other stock.

Good luck!

Best Wishes,

Munchkin Man
P.S. -- STEM dipped below $1.00 per share last week and closed out Friday, March 21st, at a price of $0.99 per share.

Re: EOG's investment advice thread.

mutual funds long term always shows profit

Greetings Mr. Inpak:

Not always.

Not for all mutual funds.

Consider the case of the Frontier Microcap Fund (FEFPX) which closed up its shop at the beginning of this year.

It's last 10-year annualized mean (average) return was (-36.48%).

In addition, investing in this fund carried a high price tag with an expense ratio of a whopping 18.4%.

There are many other examples of mutual funds with similar resuts and exhorbitant costs.

This one was one of the worst.

The bottom line is that great care and due diligence must and should be taken when choosing any mutual fund for personal investment purposes.

Best Wishes,

Munchkin Man

Re: EOG's investment advice thread.

lol FK, just skimming the thread Citi and Dendreon have gotten absolutely abused. Selling BP then would've been a disaster. Mutual funds are a waste of money as everyone knows. Gold done well obviously and Chipotle/Green Mountain Coffee also outperforming. Don't know the other names off the top of my head.

The moral of the story: don't take investment advice from forum gamblers.
