I sometimes dream of hitting a Pick 4 or Pick 5 for a $10 or $20 combination.

A $50 early Pick 5 combination at Belmont Park last Saturday paid "only" $1,737.

In my dreams, I never hit a big ticket less than $100,000 so I always wake up disappointed.

You must mean the 50 cent pick 5 paid $17.37. If you had it 100 times it paid $1737.00. Pretty lousy payoff for 50 cent -- the lowest I've ever see -- 4 chalk, at least 3 odds on favorites and a 9/5 2nd choice.
