This team is a black hole. I swear to god every time i turn an angels game on the angels are winning, and withing 5 minutes they are losing. Its brutal. This team was an embarrasment last year and if they lose tonight will already be 4 games back an the season hasnt even started.

And yes, I bet the angels tonight.

I was amazed that Scioscia was able to keep his job last year. I would have to think he's on a short leash right now, but who knows, maybe he has some incriminating pictures of the owner or something.

FWIW, I'm hoping that Joe Smith is promoted to closer before too long. He looked horrible tonight though. Cost them the game, not to mention Calhoun's ankle (because that happened in extra innings).

Calhoun is already on the DL, btw. Must be bad.

If you all remember, Mike and upper management had some heavy talk last year according to sports media. Not saying it is his fault however, in professional sports we see a finger point that eventually leads to dismissal, right or wrong. The "team" Artie to the bench is in for some big changes, and it could very well include Mike. It's just the way it happens.

The A's, Tigers, and Angels showed how you can out score the rest of the teams in the regular season with great hitting lineups, but when it comes to playoff baseball it's the pitching that matters........ And not starting pitching either (billy beanes mistake)

The Royals were put together right with an amazing amount of pitching. The Orioles are close and thus the reason they both are playing for the AL title.

Mike Scioscia is an Idiot but it's not his fault the Angels didn't win.
