I want to thank everyone who reached out to me on the single worst day of my adult life. I wont be around for awhile. Goodluck to all
One of the most educated hearts around.
Take care, Drink.
Lost Smoochee my 14 yr 8 month english bulldog. She was the oldest english bulldog in Colorado history I'm told. I carried her the last year of her life all 3 stories of our home and in and out to the backyard and front yard where the next door neighbor kids could give her treats. I don't have kids, wife, family nearby. I had her and that was about it. Shes all I ever needed.
She sweated every online poker session and every football game with me during every football season. Went through 7 surgeries and in total I guess I spent over 30k on just vet bills and who knows how much on different assistants who watched her while I played countless late night sessions. If it was 100k in total and I could do it all over again Id sign a check no hesitation.
She was a gift from my ex who stayed with me the first two days after her passing almost 15 years later this woman drove all night and 300 miles to be there. It was astonishing how much she cared after all this time.
I hadn't left the house since I got home from central america for 2 weeks as I knew her sluggish behavior was different this time. She actually walked her last night of her life almost a quarter of Wash park where she spent the first decade of her life showing off every afternoon. The last year I dragged her around in a sturdy little wagon late at night and she loved it. She just wanted to be petted by strangers.
The support and care people showed was so overwhelming I had to actually get away. I am in the mountains for a week and have put my house on the rental market and am moving into a 2 br townhome downtown. Every person who knows me seemed to either stop by, call, text or send flowers, baskets. I cant thank everyone enough from twitter, fb that I only know by name but assume some of those messages were from some of you. It means alot. Thank you sincerely.
Not a 10th grade grad but was a devoted dad.
Thanks for the thread of concern. Not gambling just researching for college football season and didn't think I offered much on twitter outside of plays, poker chip porn (which is so stupid in hindsight) and obscure music tastes. Im still around just not in action for a bit. Cherish whatever fullfills you in life my friends. That's all we can hope for as its all fleeting on some level.
Thanks and take care,
Eddie
Is there animals in heaven? yes.

Dogs are the real deal.
Last divorce the house, assets, kids were easily solved, we got stuck on the dog......
I wasn't giving him up without a fight. Well worth every penny.
I don't trust a man who doesn't like dogs.
Sincere condolences Drink.
No problem with dogs.
It's cats I can do without.

I like both, but keep them out of the house and in backyard, and no barking please.

It is the absolute worst.
My dog is a rescue, she is terrible with everyone & everything. She had been badly abused.
I got her in June 04..they had no idea how old she was when I got her from the pound, she was found in a field, they guessed she was 3 years old,so shes 17-18..shes a fucking trooper..loves cricket, baseball,CFB & Greyhound racing...and has been by my side for 14 years.
My dad passed away in April ,I cared for him for his final 5 years..it was not unexpected but its still horrendous when it happens.
Now the dog has been very sick, any operations at her age are very risky...she had a huge one on Monday to remove a mammary gland tumour that was infected..I was in tears when I went to pick her up after the operation. She seems to be recovering Ok.
They break your heart.
I can absolutely feel your pain Eddie.
GL pal.

My ex and I got a golden Retriever 2 years ago. We were living together and then we broke up. I get the dog 2-3 days a week and he lives with her the other days. People without dogs don’t understand what they mean to people.. especially golden retrievers, who are probably the most loving and pure animal you will ever meet.
