Ice Cream... :shoot:

Sammy used to love it! When the kids were young we took'em to Cold Stone Creamery

Can't eat it today... Maybe once every 6wks or so if that

Re: Many food SQUARES on this forum - FISHHEAD not one of them

The bad meat I had at TJ's wasn't spoiled or anything, it was just an awful cut of meat with way too much fat in it. I go two 3 different TJs and the meat has been poor quality at all of them.

We dont eat meat like we used to... But for every day meats we buy 80% from a local mom/pop carnicer?a. The other 20 at Albertsons

Special buys are made at Iowa Farms

:lightbulb:

My father's side of the family is out in NY and always spent part of the summer out there growing up. Wegman's truly are a spectacle and bar none the best grocery stores I've ever been in.

My aunt once complained about the pie she got cause it was just awful, didn't want anything free, just told the bakery it was subpar. Continued on with her shopping, a bakery manager tracked her down, told her they had been getting complaints about those grape pies, and to go pick out a full size cake on the house (they are like $20 and the carrot cakes are the best in the world :highfive) .

She also said, we are working on getting better grape pies and we will get them shortly because "that's what Wegman's does"

Danny's house on Keuka Lake is quite the spectacle as well, he's got some damn nice boats in the water too.

There are no Wegman's anywhere near me, the ones here are mostly in the Montgomery county suburbs and I'm not out that way often, although I've heard good things about them. I pass by the TJ's downtown all the time, and there's one a couple blocks from a friend's place. Usually if I'm at TJ's, it's to buy cheese, or some frozen stuff to take to my buddy's place.

I don't really shop at traditional supermarkets too often, aside from buying staples like rice, pasta, and non-food stuff like toiletries and toilet paper/paper towels etc, and I can get that stuff wherever. I usually get my produce and eggs from farmers markets, and I do a lot of shopping at Asian markets or seafood markets.

-FH-

What's for dinner tonight ?
After consuming the entire crab pan roast over pasta at the oyster bar, may not be hungry again until tomorrow morning.

Outstanding lunch

My two biggest food discoveries while I was in Vegas were the Goodwich which is in the parking lot of Dino's (amazing sandwiches) and Fat Choy (in another less than desirable location, the Eureka Casino).

Both are cheap, amazing quality, and some of the first places I plan to visit again.

The fact that with all the absolutely INCREDIBLE resturants in Vegas BROKEDICKFUCK Landers dines repeatedly at the Oyster bar, and at Jerry's Nugget, shows what an absolute moron and food square the guy really is.

If you want to try some actual GOOD food, get out of those rundown brokedick dump casinos you hang out at and try some places like Joel Rubochon, Sage, Prime, e', Picasso, Kabuto, Carnevino, B&Bs, CUT, Ichiza, Julian Serrano, Michael Mina's, etc.

I've dined at all of the above and I assure you they are all MUCH MUCH better than the shitty Oyster Bar if you like good food.

Ya Joey but those places don't have a $14.99 gumbo special, making it one of the non-Mcdonald's, yet still affordable places to eat after losing a -450 ML and having to look under the bed for change to cover the cost of your meal.

Most of your selections are grossly overpriced tourist traps. I don't like to feel raped as I eat. The true gems are the places that are excellent yet cheap. FAT CHOY is one such place. Good call, Doberman.

No. They are fine dining restaurants by some of the finest chefs in the world.

There are plenty of good places that are much more affordable, just like there are in every major city, of course, but I have very little desire to seek them out while on vacation.

FH a Tigers fan?? I remember FH sweating out Red Sox games via the Sporting News.
He would block out the boxscore and sweat out inning by inning by revealing one inning at a time.
This, of course was the stone age of the 80's.
I think the last live spring training game I saw with Fish was with the Great Bob Feller in attendance at Winter Haven around 2001.
. He was autographing stuff. I will try to get a pic of my hat.

Once read where no HOF player that played pre-1950 has more autographs in circulation then Bob Feller......someone may give you $14 for the cap and autograph.

Post 1950 it has to be PETE ROSE.

Such an easy sig to forge too....
