Mohegan Sun Triple Down Blackjack

This was a big event the last time. I sent a team and did very well. I know a few others who also did well.

They are planning to run it again. I will post in this thread when I know more. This was one of the best promotions ever held in a brick and mortar casino.

76k before paying out. I got about 60 of that

They did well. I paid all their expenses and they got to keep the comps. They made from 3k to 9k adding the comps for 2 days work. They were risking zero. They were more than happy.

Interesting stuff WVU....and they didn't catch on?

Oh, they caught on, but they didn't deter us from doing our thing. The place was swarming with advantaged gamblers and wannabes, but still some seats available at times during the 24 hour promotion. There were at least 2 or 3 other teams that I knew about. I would guess the casino lost between 500-750k. They must be chalking that up to gaining what they think is a few dozen new whales.

They were really unprepared for the event. The pits didn't even know the correct rules. At times some tables were allowing triples after splits while some were not. They were a good 6 hours into the promo before they seemed to get their act together.

Here was the breakdown of how my team did:

Player 1 +6500
Player 2 +24,200
Player 3 -2250
Player 4 +17,000
Player 5 +22,500
Player 6 +8200

player #2 and #5 must be good blackjack players

you need to layoff or fire player #3

I assume you are just kidding BigDaddy. They were all playing strickly using perfect strat charts that I had them memorizing on the trip up there. The 17k winner had her chart with her at the table. Apparently these charts were floating around the casino all day. The game is very volatile especially with the tripling up advantage as evidenced by the results.

I was within 1/2 percent of expectation as a whole. We made a little bit more than I thought I would beforehand because we got in more wagers than I predicted. Player 3 walked with about 3k profit and players 2 and 5 made close to 9k each.

Congrats to you WVU. How was the playing condtions and rules. Did you have to camofloge your play? How about penetration, betting spread, hourly win rate, and bankroll?

sorry, I didn't see your ? until now. We were flat betting at or near table max so we didn't really have to worry about anything. We weren't counting so there was no sense in varying our betsizes and the deck penetration did not concern us. As far as hourly win rate the promo was worth just over $500/hr/player when betting $500 hands. bankroll wasn't an issue after a few hours into it. Getting more chips to my players was the biggest issue. I had a spotter who was basically going around the room taking from the big stacks and replenishing the short stacks.

What was this promotion exactly? That you could play twice as much on doubles as normal?
