Need info on Paypal

Help a newb out:

I just set up a paypal account and I'm in the process of making it verified (linked to bank acct). So what are the costs to send/receive money from others using a verified acct?

basically, you can send in two ways

a) gift (friends/family)
b) transaction

gifts = $0 fees

transactions about 8% fee

Big Demm is giving you incorrect information.

The sender chooses if they want to pay the fee, or have the fee deducted from the amount the recipient receives. Also, it is not 8%, I don't know how much exactly but it is closer to 3%

I think I saw a figure of 2.9% listed on their site.

The seller pays the fees on goods and services (transactions) but if the money comes from your paypal account then the fee is only like 2.9%

For most of us we need Paypal for internet stuff

But for P2P forum stuff GW is better
