Jets and Buffalo only teams where QB job is up for grabs, with all 3 guys on each depth chart. Both teams got bet a bit for Preseason game 1 accordingly.

Isn't that the point I was trying to make with Morrall a backup to Unitas & led them to SB. Backups were better then than now. Is Tom Savage even above a replacement player?

Bradshaw's backup Hanratty could have started for a lot of teams.....today they don't think a good backup is important or financially prudent, that is, until the starter gets hurt.

Reich was good too, saw it in the comeback vs Houston and the win in Pittsburgh, never really got a chance to start somewhere for very long on a decent team.
