Not like i went all-in right away with q4. I had two pair, he had one with one card left. There were 6 cards from the entire deck (four jacks, two kings) he could land to win the hand. everything else i win.

Not really when i was big blind and everyone but one guy folded.
Obviously im no poker sharp. i play MAYBE three a year and thats just with buddies that dont know what the fuck theyre doing either. Its mainly just an excuse to get drunk and smoke cigars while we play .
that was a tough beat regardless, but i played all over the place. Id raise guys and go all-in when i was sitting with 6/3 unsuited. Thankfully it worked 90% of the time and guys would just give me pots.

He's almost 2 to 1 chalk to beat you Tripp, somewhere around 65/35% before the flop. Of course with just the river left you were a big favorite, you will hold up about 90% of the time (if I read your post right).

this was the only point we were all in, that was my point. if i lose the hand on the flop and never even hit the 2 pair i only lose a small amount of chips and never go all in. I went all in pre-river with two pair thinking he had something like A9 and was hoping the pair of aces would win the hand (turned out he had KK). He called the all-in bet in a much worse spot, but got bailed out.
it happens though thats poker.
