You know, I have been thinking...

Maybe we are all treating Royal the wrong...

Maybe Tej is not such a bad guy after all...

Maybe Tej is not really involved in Royal at all...

Maybe Roberto really did see numbers on paper and not in his hands...

Maybe Shrink has erroneous information...

Then again, maybe not...

I really think we need to find out...

Many say that they do not know of any slow-pays/stiffs with Royal. Ok, I can believe them.

How about we do things a little different.

Let's make this the "Royal has paid me" thread.

That way we can put to bed all these nasty things being said about Royal.

Everyone who has gotten paid by Royal, please post how much you got (round numbers will do nicely) and how long it took.

I was paid nearly 30 grand. Only one problem. It took nearly eight weeks after countless promises. Nevertheless, I got paid by Royal Sports.

The biggest forum in Europe with over 15,000 members hangs a Royal banner. All the following sites that I visit have Royal banners.

But somehow the guys that have never had any contact with Royal know better than guys that deal with Royal daily.

Royal has a great customer base but no one here has ever thought that it's stupid for Royal to close up shop and run as they can make much more by selling. I guess it's easier for everyone to regurgitate the same old posts daily instead of thinking about it rationally.

Now the same old guys come in posting shill, shill. It would be nice if someone had reasons for not playing with Royal. I guess name calling is a great reason for Royal being a bad book. The people that actually play with Royal have spoken up and said that they've never been stiffed by Royal but that's somehow ignored.

Why play there if there are stories about them ?

My experience with them is they bailed me out ( Blue Marlin), then slow paid me after the rollover was complete. I'm still grateful for the bail-out ( large).

I later won some RX contest sponsored by Royal, got paid, they even sent me a turkey last year.

Still there's something wrong here. There's Roberto for one thing.

These things don't come up with the likes of Pinny, Oly, Cris, etc. They don't come up with quiet shops that just pay like Grande, Sky, Wagerweb, Carib.

There is something fishy about Royal. If totally straight like a CRIS, all you'd hear is complaints about getting shorted the cents when betting uneven hundreds on -115 lines.

Some problem exists with Royal, not sure how big, but no reason for me to play there when there are safer and better options.

Please excuse my naivete, but why are gamblers even left to wonder about such issues? What exactly do the governments of Costa Rica and Antigua do with regard to screening and monitoring gaming licensees? They sure talk a good game but it seems their priority is to court investment in their country and it doesn't really matter who does so or how they conduct business.

The reason to play there is that you will find bets that you can't find elsewhere. Most guys are losing bettors. Using Royal will increase your chance of winning.

There's at least one mod from every watchdog site that plays at Royal with the exception of EOG. Many seasoned forum posters play at Royal. There's a reason for this.

Shrink- You are correct, based on your comments I was going to take them down. I'm not claiming to have knowledge anywhere close to yours on Offshore Gambling but what I found out later made me feel secure that no one will be stiffed.

Do you think that it would be smart financially for Royal to close up shop and run with the money? Yes, Tej has stolen from others. But why would he in this case where he even hurts his reputation more and loses financially when he can sell if needed?

I may be wrong on this but I believe that you had a Royal banner up when you owned the RX. Tej was the owner of Royal at that time.

Hoffa- When I was a mod a OGD Peep let me put up banners at the TFZ forum. I was paid $400/month to have a Royal banner in that section. There was also a Royal banner in the main forum.

After one month I asked Peep to take down the Royal banner. I told him that I didn't like some things that I heard. Peep took the banner down and I voluntarillyforfeited the $400/month.

The exact same thing happened with BCN. I was paid $300/month from BCN. Long before the A's future scandal I once again asked Peep to take down the banner and forfeited the money.

There were no other banners at TFZ at that time. I turned down $700/month so money is not the deciding factor for me.

ID- There are many crooks in this business. The only thing that I worry about is whether players will be paid or not. I'm up front and say there will be slow pays but you will always get paid. People that play with Royal realize this but it doesn't deter them.

I can appreciate what you're saying Raiders but it seems that the only Royal players getting satisfaction (albeit slowly) are the forum players. What about Johnny Square who isn't even aware of the forum universe, what are his chances at Royal?

Any thoughts on why Olympic got a free pass on the F1 debacle? This one still bothers me and they'll never see a penny from me because of it.

You may be right with the players that don't know about the forums. The reason I don't feel guilty with hanging a banner is that anyone that plays with Royal on my recommendation knows where to go.

The Oly case is interesting. The forums are giving Oly a free pass. What I found funny is that TOW felt as though they were arbitrating the case and ruled for Oly.

Oly didn't take the ruling serious and never agreed to arbitration although they did supply any facts requested by the watchdogs.

Big books such as Oly and Pinny can care less about what the forums think.

Just curious. I looked up Raiders past posts. he was bashing them consistently. Now he likes royal. raider, i have news for you. I did play there. yes, they paid me. But they lied to me way too much before deciding to pay me. Why try a book like this when so many other books dont slow pay? Its quite obvious you are being paid by them. i guess they call that a schill. i dont know. i just know its way obvious you are being paid by them to try and make them look good. Books that are good dont need to hire people to try and make them look good. They just are. They pay on time without lying and slow paying. I think its pathetic to make a living by coning the public like you are. Sorry Raider, I played there. I know what to expect when you try royal Sports. its not pleasant. And as far as saying most sites sponsor royal. all but the biggest one. The RX. And eog baby.

BM- I do not get paid by Royal. I put up the banner while negotiating a contest where players get paid for winning. If there's no contest the banner will be taken down but my opinion will be the same.

As far as your other comments the answers are in posts above. I took down the Royal banner while a mod at OGD and declined the money because of some problems and wanted to look into them before endorsing Royal.

There are sites much bigger than EOG that have Royal banners. There's also a European site with 15,000 registered posters that has a banner up. The RX has 18,000 registered posters. The RX is not the biggest site in the world. Soccer is the most popular sport in the world and there are sites bigger than the RX. You should check out the Asian sites. One says it has 142,000 registerd posters but that has to be inflated.

I was paid $2500 be neteller yesterday.

The problem with these threads is that everyone jumps on the bash royal bandwagon when they don't even play with them. You will notice the number of players that report a negative experience is extremely low.....really only one guy that was a scammer himself. Yet the ones who are playing with them seem to have good things to say for the most part.

Now of course I will be called a schill for this post which further adds to the problem. As I have said before I am not saying to send them your money, just reporting my experience that I have enjoyed for years now.

I am in hopes that someone does buy Royal and that all players are taken care of properly and no player is stiffed.

I do not recommend Royal Sports anylonger, but I hope there is a good ending to this situation and the sooner the better.

One thing Royal has is strong marketing. I would imagine they have more players than many books out there. We often forget that visitors of eog/rx are such a small % of the total players out there. When I spoke with Richard this week, he also stated the casino and pokerroom is a big product for them. I don't know if they are making or losing money right now, but I'm aure there is a way to manage their resources to make them successful.

I have no doubts that the casino and poker are big money makers. Easy money for all the sports books that offer these products.

They alone should be able to keep the company afloat. I do believe the owner has a boat load of money too. It is just the mentality of how to run a shop and the possible intentions due to past history that is bad there.

I hope I am correct here. As long as the money is there, then there is hope.

Richars is the guy who lied to me daily about my money. I wouldnt take anything this liar says seriously. Kevin is the name of the other guy who lied to me daily. terrible book. Only a naive player like myself should be dumb enough to play there. dont be a sucker guys. You can tell from the words of these shills that playing with Royal Sports is a gamble in itself. It shouldnt be that way.

I am glad i was paid and can only say that the dishonesty that royal dealt on a daily basis is the only other complaint I have. Great lines, clerks, props, etc...End of story Raider. How much do they pay you? Isnt that a sign od desperation on their part? To have to pay people to say good things about you? Sounds like a seventh grader.
